“How do they drive upside down?” “How do they not collide?” These are questions you’ll leave audiences wondering after they see MotoSphere, a revved-up motorcycle stunt show. |
| |
Five stunt men drive full-size motorcycles in circles around each other inside a 21-foot-diameter steel cage globe, thrilling audiences with near misses and upside-down loops. |
| |
One by one, each motorcycle enters the globe from a bottom hatch, circling to climb the interior of the globe. Spinning around the equator from the inside, another motorcycle is added, then another and another, until FIVE motorcycles are looping and weaving together. Using centrifugal force, they loop horizontally, vertically, and diagonally. The audience gasps as headlights flash in their faces. They’re riveted watching this steel cage rush hour, hearing the roaring engines, and wondering how the drivers can defy gravity and drive so close to each other at speeds needed to keep their tires on the globe. |
| |
In contrast to the excitement is the poetry of seeing five objects in orbit, changing axes, spinning amazingly together. |
| |
Equally amazing is watching each motorcycle exit the globe, dropping one by one through the hatch like lottery balls, and onto the stage for a bow. It’s an edge-of-your-seat show that brings audiences to their feet. |

Specifications: The 21-foot-diameter globe weighs 11,000 pounds, an impressive set piece on its own. The stars of the show are the cycles and their drivers, who are performing for the first time outside China. They are veterans of over 300 shows a year. The five-cycle stunt is preceded by a two-cycle act, similar in style, but with two riders on each cycle. This 20-minute show is suitable for all ages, safe for the audience, and available for outdoor or indoor performances. |
